What Types of Sedation Are Available at Esteem Dental Studio?

For patients who want additional comfort, we offer sedation in three levels so you can choose what feels right for you.

  • Level 1: Nitrous Oxide offers a light, floaty calm that just eases the edge off, and you stay awake and can drive yourself home afterward.
  • Level 2: Relaxation Medication is one prescribed pill taken before your visit. You remain awake and responsive, though you will need to arrange a ride home.
  • Level 3: Conscious Sedation uses a stronger in-office medication for a dreamlike, deeply relaxed state, and also requires a ride home afterward.

Both Dr. Watts and Dr. Thachil have completed additional coursework to administer sedation in accordance with the Georgia Board of Dentistry’s regulations, and Dr. Watts is permitted to administer Level 3 sedation. Levels 2 and 3 can also be combined for patients who need a deeper level of comfort.
