Sedation Choices That Fit You
- Level 1: Nitrous Oxide. A light, floaty calm that just eases the edge off. You stay awake and can drive yourself home afterward. This level is commonly known as nitrous, laughing gas, or simply “gas.”
- Level 2: Relaxation Medication. One prescribed pill taken before your visit. You stay awake and responsive, and someone else needs to drive you home.
- Level 3: Conscious Sedation. Stronger medication given in our office for a deeply relaxed, dreamlike state with little to no memory of the visit. Someone else needs to drive you home.
Both doctors have completed additional coursework to administer sedation in accordance with the Georgia Board of Dentistry’s regulations, and Dr. Watts is permitted to administer Level 3 sedation. Levels 2 and 3 can also be combined when you want a deeper level of comfort.

It includes a full 3D scan of your teeth in addition to traditional dental X-rays, so you can see what is happening in a clear image, and then we plan your care around your goals.
